I've just spoken to Health in Mind (UK) .... They listened as I explained my poor physical and mental health, then asked what I thought would help. Forgive me if in wrong, but I thought that was their job to offer me suggestions as to what might help me, not ask ME what would help!! If I knew that, I'd already be doing it and not wasting their time and mine by asking them for help. So I opened up completely and asked for help.... Guess what I'm getting? CBT by phone, in a few weeks or months time and a booklet about depression and anxiety.
She said "I won't ring you again as it's all about the effort you put in to getting better"... This after I explained my progressive physical health problems, financial, family and work problems.
So... That's all folks...
I should be right as rain in no time as long as I put the 'effort' in to getting better.
I don't want to get up or wash or cook or go out, but that booklet will sort it out!!
