Right now I am thankful for the staff at our local zoo, the Oakland Zoo. 3 orphan mountain lion cubs (a male, has been named Captain Cal & 2 sisters) that were rescued during the horrible fires this year, where taken there to get help. All 3 are improving... poor Cal had very bad burns. Watching videos of the 3 cubs play on the zoo's site, brightened my day. 🐱

I’m so happy they were rescued. That’s awesome Mel and I’m so glad it brightened your day. 😊 that reminds me of a special sea turtle with a missing fin at an aquarium near by. I fell in love with it and it’s graceful movement. Animals are amazing.

Sea turtles are cute... my brother especially loves them. The Oakland Zoo is pretty amazing... we went there a lot as kids. We have a good friend who works there. And my husband has involvement with them through his work. So they definitely hold a special place in my heart. The cubs won't be staying at the zoo, will find a new zoo together (they cannot be released into the wild).

[Resilience]

I am grateful to have completed a very challenging and nerve-wrecking video performance for my senior recital for my degree. I am hopeful that my efforts will pay off in a good way. I have had a lot of issues happening within me and around me all semester long but I woke up this morning and looked myself in the mirror and, you know, had a Mulan moment (one of my favorite disney movies) where I pulled myself together and finished the task. I can breathe a little better! 😊

Kids, grandkids, dogs ❤️ Home, anything that makes me remotely happy. I couldn't sleep the other night and I thought what would I do if I had a partner here...I'd ask him if he'd mind making us a hot drink...then just joke around for an hour or so. Sometimes it's the simple things in life you are grateful for

Yes grateful is important and makes us happy!!!! I am grateful for my mum,sis dog,music that brightens me up a lot,playing music,and nature,peace of mind, and happiness, and joyfulness,and bright white sky,and hopefully everything good and bad
