So got a bit of good news last week, got a job offer! But I was very hesitant to take it and even now as I sit here a week before I start I am already thinking about declining it. So the job is entry level and even though I negotiated a higher starting salary it is still off my number. Also I am planning on moving back towards home by next spring and the current job offer is around an hour drive. I keep going back and forth even after accepting the job offer cause I feel like I might just be taking it just to take it and not getting what im worth. But my anxiety has done this before so I wanted to get some outside opinions.
A little update: Im not sure what to do now, ive been waking up the past three mornings with severe anxiety and even crying a bit..idk what to do. I keep on wanting to tell my hiring manager im not taking the job and be done with the anxiety. Ive left a job before because of my anxiety and Like I said its an entry level job and financially I can be fine for awhile while I still look. Some feedback would be nice before I do anything..
Thanks everyone

heartofgold_ The way I look at it is that you are in the driver's seat. You were offered
a job not quite up to your standards but it will pay the bills until you decide to move home
again. Worry about that when the time comes. Life doesn't come with any guarantees.
Don't allow Anxiety to play with your mind and put doubts in place. Before calling it quits
before you even start, remind yourself that you are always in charge of your decisions not
anxiety.
Whether we work 1 day, 2 weeks or 10 years, we always get something out of a job experience. I wish you well. But in the end, it is your choice, your life. xx
I appreciate the honest words, I was thinking the same. Even if I don't like it or its not up to snuff I can always leave and be in the same spot I am now. I guess ive been looking since march so I want to make sure its a place I don't wanna leave in a month.
