Jerking side effect with Lexapro 5mg

I just started taking Lexapro about 2 weeks ago. Does the jerking of the muscles/nerves in the neck, arms, and legs side effect subside over time? I didn't start experiencing this particular side effect until about 4 days ago.

I experienced jerking too when sleeping after about 2 weeks into medication. It seems like its a normal side effect. It subsided for me. No cause for concern.

It's so annoying 😩😩. I was worried I was becoming seizure prone or something. How long did it take for yours to go away?

Odd.. i didn’t recall having jerking but I noticed my Sleep Paralysis almost 100% never occur again. A relief from one sleep disorder

Sleep paralysis is the absolute worst! I haven't had an episode of that in a long time though.

Hi Jerrobin. I took Lexapro for several months and my experience with it was a nightmare.

Now I'm in the process of coming off it.

I'm doing it very, very slowly because the withdrawal symptoms are terrible!. I hope this won't happen to you. 😟

It's difficult to explain. It was driving me crazy, It didn't help with my anxiety, just the opposite. I felt I wanted to die.

I cannot tell you if I had jerking because, among other things, I suffer from RLS so I never know what is causing what.

I feel my life is a disaster.

I’ve had that with many depression meds! It’s so scary but it usually goes away in a few weeks. If it stays bad though definitely tell your doctor. I had some pills where that feeling never stopped

I never had jerking from the Lexapro but I was grinding my teeth from it. It went away after awhile.
