I Need Hope

I am having a very hard time right now and cant shake this feeling. Im so scared and so low all the time. I don't know what to do. I am in need of some advice. I just want to curl up in the corner and cry. I hate this feeling.

Hi Dakota, hang in there. I felt like that all week... but it passes eventually. Try not to be hard on yourself. Don’t give up on hope... the bad times come and go, they don’t last forever. Have you tried listening to soothing music?

Thank you so much for replying. It means a lot. I feel like im barely hanging on. I try and watch movies to get my mind off of myself but sometimes I cant focus on anythings..

Hi Dakota11 i feel the same to, you need to be thinking one day at a time-I know it’s hard as hell but try riding these difficult feelings and thoughts out,do you have any coping skills/strategies? Like books,tv shows, music, arts and crafts?

Starting a blog?

Are you a photographer? If so,you coud set up a online portfolio and organise your photos.

Sometimes having a nap can reset your thoughts,and give you a clearer head when you wake up.

I can also recommend weighted blankets for anxiety and general feeling crap, they sell them on amazon for £31, I bought one recently off there as my old expensive one is to heavy for my physical disability now.

One of my care staff has just bought one to (for her anxiety and mental health),and it has become one of her coping tools.

I think with how our planet is at the moment,the pandemic...the isolation...the lack of certainty, it’s so easy to feel like you are at your lowest point right now, I get where your coming from, but you seem like you are not set on one final outcome-that’s a good thing,you can work with it,talk it through,find out ways to stop yourself getting to this point again,even if it’s just chatting to the rest of us.

Hi,

Right now I just go for walks, listen to tapes that I have for anxiety n depression, or watch an uplifting movie. Sometimes it just all boils over and I feel paralyzed in these terrible emotions and can’t shake them. I do have a weighted blanket but don’t use it very often. I should try using that again. I just feel like I’m barely hanging on. It’s really scary sometimes. Anyways, thank you for your reply. It really means a lot.

I hate you are feeling bad. Try to force yourself to do something to distract yourself. And keep venting here. We are here for you.

So sorry to hear that. I have been through phases similar to that as well. Seems like there is no hope but there always is. Hang in there. I don't know whether faith plays any role for you but I always find solace in reading the Bible and comfort in meeting people - from church, seeking counseling or seeing good friends.

I am sorry Dakota11, I am here if you need anything. Remember emotions come and go. If you believe in God, remember He is comforting you. There is always hope. I know the feeling. I feel that way often.
