Spoke to my mom tonight, shedding tears. Told her I didn't know what to do about the illness, I am going to resume school soon and I don't want to fail. She delves into a tirade about a foreign, blown out idea. She suggests prayer, regulating my sleep time table but within it all I know she has no idea how to relate me even it she thinks she does, she's got a warped idea about me in her mind constantly misunderstanding me. I am tired tonight, scared and plain fed up. Lord knows it amuses me a bit; all of that drama but it would a lot more if I wasn't the butt of the joke.

Myre you're very brave smart for coming to this group to talk it out. At 16, the best I could do was not to commit suicided. When you speak of your illness, are you talking about bipolar?

Parents often don't know how to deal with a loved one who has health problems, that includes mental & physical. Prayer is fine if you whole heartedly believe. Studies have actually proven that the belief in something higher than yourself can help you survive. But if you aren't into it, don't waste your time.

Regulating your sleep actually does help with depression and anxiety. If you fall of your pattern you don't sleep well and eventually you become and insomniac like me. Then I get depressed and feel terrible. Try your best to stay within an hour either way of your sleep,

Parents never get their kids because they sometimes they love you a lot and can't see these problems we speak of. I was 15 when I first told my mom that I wanted to kill myself. The result was a slap in my face and to never mention something so stupid again, so I kept the depression to myself for years.

Why does it amuse you?

Nah, I am depressed. That's my prognosis , nothing official. For me, I fear falling asleep, my mind is most vulnerable then and I can't keep the torturing thoughts at bay.

Try writing your thoughts down. I sometimes have a lightbulb moment as to what is really bothering me then I can figure out how to handle it. Try to work on 1 problems at a time instead of being overwhelmed by all.
