Rating otc sleep meds

I’ve had insomnia for almost 6 years, would really appreciate feedback on your favorite over the counter sleep medicine

I usually use ZzQuil which puts me right to sleep! And the doc says it's okay to take nightly if needed. Also, try drinking a cup of Chamomile tea, after you get out of a warm bath with Epsom Salt and Lavander. Drink the tea just before you climb into bed. And keep ALL equipment out of your room... i.e cell phone, TV, etc... And if you have a clock that has color, turn it away from you or turn the color down on it. See if any of these things work for you

I’ve been using Natural Nutra’s Ultimate Sleep Formula. It contains no valerian (which causes a paradoxical effect on me) or melatonin (which I add myself). The melatonin I use is Olly Sleep (1/2 gummy, learned more melatonin isn’t better), plus an added amino acid.

I have terrible insomnia, I can fall asleep fine, but have a lot of middle of night wakings and get surges that wake me in the night. I need to boost otc supplements they aren’t strong enough or need an added amino, mag, etc. to make it work better without increasing recommended dosages.

Lastly, On the ZZZquil, there are two different ones. One that contains diphenhydramine (antihistamine) or one that just contains herbs and botanicals and melatonin (Pure ZZZ’s) Just wanted to point that out. 🌺
