Upping my dose

I’ve been on sertraline now for nearly 5 weeks. Only 25mg and I’m taking it for anxiety. The first 3/4 weeks were awful with so many side effects. I’m still not sleeping brilliantly but it’s slightly better. I’m feeling more like myself but the last few days I’ve been anxious a little bit more. Considering going on that’s understandable I guess. I’ve had a sore jaw,my cheekbones which I’ve read is a side effect of this medication. Seems weird after 5 weeks. Was going to up my dose slightly to 37.5mg. Worried about side effects hitting again. My advice? Thanks. Xx

I was on sertraline for about two months, and I have switched off of it. I had trouble sleeping too, and over the counter medicine wasn't working. My psychiatrist prescribed me trazadone for sleeping. I experienced no side effects, and it's an anti-depressant as well, so there were no interactions. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about that? Hope this helps!

He’s mentioned citalopram which I’ve tried before but food myself more remote. Trying to get appointment atm is obviously hard work with your doctor. Thanks for reply x
