For those who enjoyed my recent post Room with a view I have decided to do a follow up from the next day in my little Welsh cottage.
The next morning I decided to go out cycling to explore the area. I was on my own when I usually go cycling with my daughter. The weather was not looking too promising so I wondered if I would be wise to go.
I am so pleased I did because I found this wonderful cove with grey seals breeding. I saw two half grown pups playing together in the waves. As they came out of the sea together and waddled up the beach they looked like the best of friends. I kept on watching and suddenly one went to bite the other one but it did not cause a serious fight. Instead the one who had been bitten just put his flipper around the other and they carried on up the beach like that, for all the world like two little boys who had just had a play fight and were now walking along together with arms round each others shoulders.
The whole experience was magical, all the more so for the fact that I did it on my own from my little dream cottage on the wild Welsh estuary.
