Nothing like freshly fallen snow... :) xx

Picturesque, truly a Winter Wonder land. πŸ’œπŸ˜Š

Have you had a snowball fight yet, built a snowman?

This truly something I'll never get to do unless a blizzard rolls through here which I think the last one was in mid 90's. 😁😁😁

I went out on the deck, plopped down and made a snow angel. My husband said it was crazy but it was so much fun! Now that the snow has finally stopped falling I may throw a few snowballs for the dog to chase.

Admittedly winter is a hard season for me. However it does have its beauty.

Thank you for sharing such a lovely picture.

You're welcome. Sometimes the best thing to do in the winter is find beauty where you can.

That's so beautiful. I'm jealous over here in Texas. It's about 70 which is nice but I love cozy cold weather.

Even though my body dislikes the cold more and more every year I will probably never move away from here. This is a big snowstorm for us. Usually a few inches at most. But watching the snow fall while you are cozy inside by the fireplace is a wonderful way to spend the day. And I love all the seasons.

Looks lovely. We call it a garden in the UK which sounds much nicer than yard! To us a yard is a small enclosed paved area with walls. We put in potted plants and maybe some small garden furniture so we can sit out on nice days. x

I live just outside of town. The area was is zoned agricultural so you must have a minimum lot size of 1/3 acre. My house sits back from the road. The trees are at the back of the property. We call the grassy areas yards. Then there are flower gardens or vegetable gardens within some yards. I have a large deck off the back of the house. It's covered with flower pots and tomato plants in containers during the warmer months. Out front there are some flowers and shrubs planted near the house. In front of the garage doors and near the front door are more flower planters. I am quite lucky. Even where I live there is a bigger lot than most places. When my son was growing up he and his friends on either side of us just walked back and forth between the three back yard. There are woods with trails behind us where people hunt. They would sometimes go up one of the trails but not until they were older. I am glad I could share. Will share more photos as the seasons change. And I agree. Garden sounds much better than yard.

I would love to see more photos please. We call all grassy areas gardens regardless. x

It is really beautiful, we do not often have snow like that, I would love it if we did.

It reminds me of Narnia in The lion, the witch and the wardrobe. Do you know those books by the author CS Lewis? Quite a few films were made too.

Enjoy

Kim

I am familiar with the books. I think of the deck off the house and my views from there as my own little slice of nature. It's where I am happiest and where I often find peace.

It's fun to watch my dog in the snow. And I don't walk on it but enjoy waking up an seeing deer tracks in the yard.

I agree - its so lovely watching the dog run around and try to bite it and catch disappearing snowballs. I love it.

Just so lovely. I enjoy seeing a glimpse into your world .

This is a beautiful picture! It looks just like a postcard! Maybe you should save it and turn it in to a Christmas Card for next year? πŸ˜€
