Any advice for helping with sleep while being anxious? I’ve been having a lot of trouble falling asleep and staying asleep and would love any suggestions on helping with sleep in any way

The best way to fall asleep and stay asleep is to prepare for it.

Close down computer and cell phone at least an hour before

going to bed. Do not eat anything heavy before bedtime.

Make sure your room is on the cool side, lowered lights or dark,

and most importantly is to calm your mind before sleep.

I use meditation and deep breathing. Push aside any problems

of the day, this is your time now to regenerate. To go into that

deep REM sleep. Allow your body to relax. With practice you

will fall asleep shortly after putting your head on the pillow.

If you do wake up during the night, repeat the breathing and

slowly you should fall back to sleep.

Yes unplug from the phone or online stuff don’t eat before bed take melatonin even if 1 mg. I listen to sleep hypnosis on YouTube. If I wake up I get up get my heat pad breathe a bit then lay down. Or I get up watch tv a bit on couch fall asleep there or listen to YouTube again.
