Zoloft or Wellbutrin?

I’m 66, tried to wean myself off Zoloft after Christmas because I thought I didn’t need it. Found myself very depressed by May. Doc bumped me up to 100mg on Zoloft. I felt better but kind of zombie like. So a couple weeks ago doc added wellbutrin and weaning off Zoloft. I feel a lot more energetic with wellbutrin but not sleeping well, keep waking up. So I’m wondering if I should have stuck with the Zoloft? At least on it I was sleeping great. I’m going to see the doc in a couple weeks but was wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

Wellbutrin is an excellent drug (I'm the same age as you and it did wonders for my libido) The problem is, it will raise your anxiety levels without a doubt. I'd stay on it but ask the doc to consider adding a low dose of a benzo. I'm on Lexapro now and considering adding Wellbutrin again because SSRI'S kill your sex drive and make you sluggish. Yes sex drive which normally is a 2 on 0-10... now 0. Sad, the other thing about wellbutrin is that I have a fib and since I’ve been taking it(2 weeks) I’m having more palpitations, which is probably from the stimulating affect it has. Thanks for the input. I’m beginning to think I might b better off without all of them. Will see how it goes.
