a beach, a forest, a library, your bedroom, a hiking trail, a rolling meadow, a view overlooking the mountains... ?
It's hard to think of a happy place when we are engulfed in anxiety and depression. So for that, I'm sorry you are at a place that you can't see a happy place.
Was there ever a time or place that made you happy? You could google pictures of beautiful places to find a place that looks like what you think happiness should be? I bet looking at potential happy places could feel good, even if it is a brief sensation.
A happy memory from childhood, a favorite pet, a certain holiday, or maybe a specific smell...the rain, spring flowers, a bakery etc...
Where was your favourite walking place with your beloved dog? Where did you have lots of fun together?
This might be an opportunity to write / draw about your grief - but also the lovely life story of your treasured pet & companion.
Once you start with the first few words, it will flow - don't be afraid to write your feelings. Write about where you went and what you did together. You could conclude with writing of your loss and how you no longer have that happy place - your once 'happy place' is no more . . . .
Hope this helps.
If the assignment is strictly a drawing only, then could you draw your dog? Or a shadow figure in your once happy place?
Still write the story though, whether or not you submit it with your drawing.
