I just started the generic version of Zoloft a week and a half ago and I was so excited to finally start meds I think the positive mindset effected me the most. I haven’t had major anxiety since I started then tonight it all flooded over. I know it takes six weeks for the full effect but I’m scared the meds don’t work at all for me. I just want to get better.

Zoloft has been helpful for most but not all. It's to early to tell if it is working for you at two weeks I think, but since you did have two good weeks I think you have reason stay positive about it. Staying positive is half the battle so I hope you push back those negative thoughts. I used Zoloft and it did help me with both depression and anxiety. Hang in there and be well.,
Hi there! I am just reaching the 5 week mark with Zoloft and although I can’t tell a tremendous difference I feel much, much better than I did before. I had a really difficult time with side effects initially but those subsided. Like you, I was really determined to get better and wanted to stick it out. Ultimately, im glad I did. As the post mentions above, what works for some may not work for others.
Regardless of the medication that is best suited for you, feel confident that you are taking the right steps to get better. I commend you and I am with you. 💜
Just started Sertraline this week. I believe that's the generic for Zoloft. I'm on 50 mg, supposed to go up to 100 mg next week. I've tried many other meds in the past, so we will see how this one works. I had slight nausea the first day, but it's gone now. Sexual side effects are there, and similar to other meds I've had in the past. My doc put me on it for my OCD, depression, and anxiety. I really hope it helps, but I guess they say you have to give it 4 weeks to notice improvement. My last drug was Trintellix, but I stopped it cold turkey in November for reasons related to fear of a specific side effect and how it related to an actual health issue I was facing at the time. I had been on it since July. It seemed to do well with my depression for the most part, but it is a fairly new drug, without a long side effect history, and I don't like being a type of guinea pig. Sertraline is an old med, and mostly proven to be a good one from what I understand.
no you are not a guinea pig.setraline has been going for a while, its very good ,the only
problem with it is,for ocd you have to get upto 100mg.when on 50mg you may feel your
getting nowere, stick with it,because when you get to 100mg its like getting to the top of
hill.once their you can look back down and say its all worth it,believe me.you can still
live a normal life, mybe you will want to sleep a bit more, but that carnt be bad can it.
ive been on sertraline 100 for 3years now.yes you will still have your problems, but
sertraline helps you,any way notrac stick with it,its well worth it.by,by.
