Does anyone else wish staying in bed all day was socially acceptable? Honestly, my productive days are my better ones, but sometimes I cannot convince myself that getting of bed is worth it. Don't get me wrong... I do things. But lately, my parents keep insinuating that they think I'm lazy. I wish they could understand that getting out of bed some days is painful. I have trouble dealing with people so sometimes staying in bed is the only way to just take a break. But I have great grades and I study really hard as well as play sports and art stuff. But they still call me lazy.... kinda annoying

Yep I totally relate. You do need to go into the cave and recharge. It’s vital to some, like us. Are you introverted? Us intro-types need to be alone regularly in order to quiet the chaos and reconnect with our rich and rewarding inner world. Constant stimulation tends to drain us. We need peace and quiet. It’s far from laziness. It’s a beautiful place. Cherish that time and use it in a positive way. Just don’t get stuck in a negative rut. Keep it your “happy place” and explain this to your folks. Best of luck.
maybe ask them why they think that....since you do have good grades, study hard, and do sports....so what if your in bed on your days off...if they want you to do something for them to help out around the house...then maybe that will curb them complaining...and as far as your pain, are you talking about anxiety or depression?
