I sometimes feel trapped in my mundane life. Tv and social media can cause me to compare my insides with other people's outsides.
i find that if I count my blessings and make a gratitude list to appreciate what I have , it helps me realize that it's a good life no matter where I am in it.
I've heard that the definition of suffering is "wanting things to be different than what they really are" and the solution to suffering is "accepting things as they are".
Thats easier said than done but gratitude is just one tool for getting there. It changes my mind and attitude.
