7 days now post large pelvic dvt - sent home on day 5 after clot diagnosed. Only advice, keep leg elevated and rest! Described with pain killers and on Rivaroxaban. STILL IN pain, no real difference in whole leg and groin swelling, I am frustrated and scared as no clear plan forward back to heath. Advice please.

Have you not been given an appointment to see a hematologist. They don't scan you to check if your clot as gone.

I was given tinzaparin injections for 6 weeks then I started warfarin but I had to continue the injections until my inr came down.

I've since changed to rivoxaban been on it a year gone November.

Not yet Tracey, 're haematology appt. I have made appt with Dr, as after care seems non existent in terms of physio, self care advice. Nina.

It's shocking.

My first two dvt were dealt with promptly spending time in hospital al add o given compression stockings immediately.

This last clot in 2015 the care was atrocious. I had to fight for compression stockings it took 4.5 months to get them by this time I had developed post thrombotic syndrome I was in absolutely agony.
