I was diagnosed at 22 with AMN, Addison's disease, and arrested childhood cerebral ALD. My AMN symptoms started when I was 19 and I was having an adrenal crisis when I was 20. I was being misdiagnosed with autism and ADHD when I was a kid. I will turn 26 next month.

I'm 63 and was diagnosed at 13 with Addison's disease. I showed my first symptoms of AMN at 48. I already knew that I had AMN as there was a family link to it. Our whole family was tested approx 10 years before this and I tested positive for it. The first symptom I had was leg shakes. I now need 2 canes to walk. I get annoyed with this condition, but one saying I use a lot is that you don't have to look very far to see someone worse off.

Mild symptoms at 28-29. Undiagnosed adrenal crisis at 33. Serious walking/gait issues started the same year. Misdiagnosed for 9 years total till 39. Was even told to see a psychologist because prior to the very long chain fatty acid test no bloodwork could explain my condition so obviously it was in my head. Without an open minded neurologist at Vanderbilt University Medical I might believe it is all in my head by now. One of the most frustrating time of my life.
