Researchers from China’s Peking University have developed a new gene-editing technology — and they think it shows promise as a CRISPR alternative for fighting human diseases.

From Crispr Cas-9 to Cas-13.

They've already started animal experimentation. Those poor monkeys.

But, it goes to show what a virtually unlimited barrel of cash, no qualms about animal experimentation and a technological arms race with the West can achieve.

I'm still hopeful we'll see a cure, though whether it's within my lifetime is the question.
