$2.1m Novartis gene therapy to become world's most expensive drug

theguardian.com/science/201...?

Swiss drugmaker Novartis has received US approval for its spinal muscular atrophy gene therapy Zolgensma – pricing the one-time treatment at a record $2.125m.

That's two million, USD. You read that right. Yet another gene therapy thing passes the trial phase and hits the market. Bring it on.

Shocking sticker price to save a life! I feel for the parents who cannot have the procedure due to lack of insurance or it being unaffordable. It's the have's who live. Don't get me started on inequitably.
