I spoke to my neurologist last visit about 4-AP because it has been talked about here sometimes with good success. I just received a call from her office that she was able to obtain at least 30 days of samples to use. I have a great neuro!

4-AP/Ampyra
That's great your neurologist managed to get some for you! My neurologist here in NYC got in touch with Dr Eichler in Boston and I now have a prescription! I feel it's very useful. I hope it helps you!
4-AP, I'm five years in now, and I've never looked back.
Whoever invented that stuff should get a medal.
I tryed it for 1 month at a cost of $305 NZ and found no atvantage from it. I didn't continue because of the cost. Should I have tried it for a bit longer. I hope it works for you.
I had 4-AP compounded at my local pharmacy but discontinued after a month without any noticeable benefit.
Compounded is the thing.
That's weighed out and mixed with a filler. I've tried formulations from different pharmacies. They are not the same.
I was lucky that I got lucky.
I'm still saddened that so many people with spasticity have little to no access to 4-ap. I bombarded multiple neurologists about possible spasticity meds, none told me about 4-ap. I only happened upon a pdf about it, buried away online. Then I had to go and source some.
What a nightmare.
So true. With added fillers, etc., it's not the same thing. It's just so cost prohibitive since there is no generic. Of course now with my participation in the trial, I'm sure it's a no-no for me.
