Neurology Appointment

Finished a full day at doctors. 11 hours not including 5 hours on the road total. Retook the cosyntropin test because was unsure about a couple of levels. The neurologist didn’t know what to say about the decrease in mobility other than marijuana for spasticity and modafinil for bad energy days. Looking at getting me some samples of 4-AP to try out. Dispensaries for marijuana are supposed to be open soon in Arkansas, so will give it a try I guess. At this point in time I’m up for almost anything. And she did fill out a prescription for a Ustep2 walker. My daughter, Aquinney, had a full brain to tailbone MRI for a baseline. And we do it again next week with nerve conduction and brain MRI for me.

I'm so glad they caught it at an early stage!!! It was only after my brother had an Addisonian crisis and almost died, that I was also diagnosed with Addison's.

Hi, with Addison's everyone says to double your dose if you feel ill! I've learned that sometimes that is not enough and I had an infection a couple of weeks ago and I took 4 X my dose! it won't harm as the body naturally makes extra but ours doesn't! Also be aware that stress effects us too! Managed well there's no problems!

All the best

Steve

My endo always wrote on my Rx to triple my dosage for 3 days in the event of flu or illness. You're right about stress: physical and mental. I feel very fortunate that Addison's is not really a concern about mine now as I stopped reading and participating on a couple of Addison's online forums where many were having such great difficulty managing the disease.
