High blood pressure

I have just had a check up at my gp and have found my blood pressure is too high. I am checking it twice a day at home for the next week. Does anyone else have this and could it be related to the hydrocortisone I am taking? I am due to see my endocrinologist at the end of May.

Hi Cherie,

If anything, my BP is lower which I always attributed to Addison's. Perhaps other factors are the cause of your high BP. I'm sure your endo and/or gp will run a panel of tests.

I second what SongStream said. My blood pressure is almost always low due to adrenal insufficiency. How much hydrocortisone are you taking? Do you take fludrocortisone, as well?

10 + 5+5. I don't take fludrocortisone. My blood pressure has gone down today although still on the high side of normal.
