Bad news.....

Increased very long chain fatty acids in patients on a ketogenic diet: a cause of diagnostic confusion.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/849...

Shame, I was seriously considering the ketogenic diet/fasting.

We are doomed (for now).

Discuss.

As far as I know, the presence of elevated very long chain fatty acids is merely a biomarker of the disease . They are saying now, that attempting to lower them does nothing to halt disease progression. Specifically through diet. Therefore adopting a ketogenic diet would not be a problem. In fact through my research, it would be beneficial as it helps inflammation. Read the Wahls Protocol.

Best,

Patrick
