Need to rant...(sorry)
Was diagnosed with fibro about 4 years ago...had numerous meds, treatments, talking therapy....my symptoms are up and down, but always ache..
My employer (I am a police officer) has had me on light duties and have been very very good.
I was put forward for ill health last year, but was declined by pensions authority on the issue of permanence.
I have been told I must try all reasonable treatments.
My go put me forward for steroid injections in my knuckles and shoulder...was genuinely hoping it may stop the pain, but when I got there, the doctor stated they were not suitable for fibro.....aaaaaggghh! Was an understatement.
Tried hypnosis....it does not stop your body aching.
I have been to the Royal college hospital fibro centre and been given sulphur tablets. Don't seem to do anything!
Has anyone had these?
Did they do anything?
Anyway...my doctor has stated that the diagnosis of fibro is confirmed, but it may not be permanent.
It's been four years now. I struggle to work and it's getting harder and harder.
Has anyone please got any idea how 'permanent' is decided and how I can move this forward..it's just so frustrating...
Thank you in advance.
