Apixaban Torrent.

Morning all.I have just received apixaban torrent as my script. Anyone else heard of this please.Is it just the manufactures name???

Apixaban is the generic name for Eliquis which is an anticoagulant, a very important prophylactic treatment to reduce stroke risk for anyone with AF.

I think Torrent is the manufacturer although never come across that version myself.

know about apixaban I have taken it for several years.This apixaban torrent is on the box in large letters.Ive never had this brand before,I was hoping someone else has been given it.

Hey, Torrent I believe is the pharmaceutical company that's made the apixaban you have . The active ingredient is Apixaban, Torrent is the company that's manufactured it.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals are a generic manufacturer based in India.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals is the company that manufactures this generic version of apixaban. I also take apixaban and there are many manufactures for the generic version, ie Sandoz, Teva, Myan, etc -- all contain the same active ingredient -- apixaban-- for all of them and work the same way. If any differences it may be the fillers and the binders to form the medication.

For some reason I didn’t get on with the generic version of apixaban which I believe Torrent is. My consultant wrote to my GP to always prescribe eliquis apixaban

I had the Torrent version of Apixaban last month - no difference to the pill size/shape/effect but the plastic 'bubbles' are hopeless and mostly bounced out onto the floor !!!

Apixaban 5mg tablets (Torrent Pharma (UK) Ltd) Torrent is the manufacture. So, it is Apixaban as usual and does the same.
