Hi, I have just started apixaban a week ago and over the last 2 days I have a upset stomach, us this normal and will it settle.
Just started apixaban.: Hi, I have just... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Just started apixaban.
Hi
I have Apixaban- I think its unlikely to be connected- unlike some other NOACs it doesn't have to be taken with food etc. I've been very pleased with it!!
Been on Apixaban for a year or two, no problems. Is the problem on the list of side-effects?
There is a 3% incidence of nausea. It may settle or you could try change to one of the other Noacs.
I take Apixaban and never had any side effects but could just be lucky. See if its a known side effect in the packet notes.
Had problems with other NOACs but nothing with Apixaban. Try drinking sips of hot water to relieve the symptoms and if it doesn't clear up then perhaps it isn't for you, we all react differently to substances.
Been on Apixaban for almost a year, no problems. Hope it settles.
Ive been on apixaban and had no problems best bet is to speak to your Dr
It gave me a bad frontal headache and tinnitus so it was stopped. Only took 24 hrs but lasted 5 days afer I stopped.
I have been on Apixiban for over two years and haven't experienced that, the reverse is usually the case (constipation)
I had side effects with Apixaban and Riveroxaban so am on Warfarin.
Side effects were kidney problems, water infections and chronic back ache all after 2 weeks. Lots of people have no effects whatever so it is trial and error unfortunately. Best of luck Jo.
I have been taking for 7 months with no side affects whatsoever,so you shoud be fine.I refused warfarin so was put on apixaban.
Best regards
I've been taking it since May of this year. I do have bouts of diarrhea and my friend who is on it, also has this complaint.
I have been on Apixaban since March and havent had any symptoms. Sorry not to be more helpful
hi, I have taken this for 4 months to protect me while I have Ablation. It has given me really bad acid reflux and heartburn, now have to take Lanzoprazole along side it. Hopefully will resolve when I stop Apixaban in the next few weeks.
