update on pulse field ablation

I had a pulse field ablation on 9 December. The procedure went very smoothly and I felt marvellous for the first two weeks. I did try to rest but ended up making a 3 day trip to Lisbon ( which was ok’d by the hospital.) I have stayed in sinus rhythm throughout. Now I am not sure if it is the stress of Christmas preparations (and I’m in the middle of selling our house), but I’m feeling completely exhausted. At times I can hardly move or keep my eyes open. I am taking dihydrocodeine for very severe knee pain. I’m continuing bisoporol and flecanide but hope to come off them soon. I will no doubt have to continue to take rivaroxaban. Does anyone have insight or advice to give ?

Many thanks in advance.

Do you have a followup visit with the doctor who performed the ablation ? Best to inform him of your symptoms.

Not until June. but I guess I could call the Arrythmia nurses . Thanks for suggesting that

Sounds as though you did too much, too soon. I did the same. Destress and rest, nothing is as important as your health and wellbeing. The fact that you remained in NSR is a really good sign, now just give your body time to recover.

You've answered your own question really. Moving house, ablation, unexpected trip abroad involving flying, Xmas....Unsurprisingly your body is yelling at you to pack it in and rest !

Good sign you are still in nsr . Take care now xx

Thanks for the feedback @wilsond and @cdreamer. It is just so tempting to rush around again, when there is no AF, but I will your advice and rest. Last night I got 8 hours sleep the first good night’s sleep in a long while.

Sounds like a great plan

Feeling sleepy is a side effect of dihydrocodeine

nhs.uk/medicines/dihydrocod...

That along with bisoprolol and a recent ablation might explain your tiredness but best to ask the medics.

Best wishes

I think, as all the wise people below are saying to you, you’ve done too much too soon. Also the codeine will be making you tired. Take it easy x
