I had the flu jab yesterday and wasn’t expecting any problems (I’ve had two Covid vaccinations this year which were fine), but a few hours after the injection I started to get more than the usual number of ectopics and palpitations. As the flu jab is not an mRNA vaccine I’m a bit baffled by this. Has anyone had similar problems?

Flu jab palpitations and ectopics.
Yes, hence I stopped having either has I’ve always had a bad reaction but several laid me low for weeks. There are many types of flu jab so worth asking which they are using. Inevitably when you have an injection in the arm as a bollus injection, some of the injectable substance which will inevitably travel into the blood stream if even a tiny blood vessel is punctured, creating a reaction, even when administered well and as we now know, during the pandemic in the rush to vaccinate as many as possible, as quickly as possible not all were administered well.
I would have both as a nasal spray because both COVID and Flu are respiratory diseases and that’s where the virus takes hold - in the mucus of respiratory system. Interesting that is how children are vaccinated.
I had Flu jab last week and have had increased ectopics since, I’ve never had this reaction before.
The older type are better, which are egg based. You can order this from Boots. I won’t have the MRNA. Have been very poorly on these vaccines.
During Covid I bought a recommended nasal & oral spray (Immunmist) , as CDreamer says those areas are the main areas to protect. Never had Covid and can't remember the last time I had flu. I am also on a good diet and exercise in the fresh air x2 daily which I regard as just as important.
I have no intention of having any of the four 'annual jabs' offered by my surgery or a Covid one until I stop seeing bad reports about them.
What about building up your immune system with good nutrition and supplements as I have avoiding all vaccinations, and never had a sniffle in 5 years....
I've had a half-dozen flu jabs and never had a reaction (nor to Covid jabs) until this time -- I had them together, six weeks after my ablation, after I checked with my cardiology team and they told me to go ahead as long as I felt all right and had not had previous problems with the jabs. So I did.
Oh boy...within hours I went into persistent AF and stayed there for almost a month despite ramping up my flecainide. It's finally cleared up again.
I will also be looking at the nasal version for next winter.
