It can soon be used for detecting and treating Afib. There is also an AI robot that can operate on people with lung cancer. It's a shame we can't just post a link here without waiting for permission.
Google 'AI and Afib' to see how it can be used for Afib detection.
A new AI robot has been created at the University of Leeds that can perform operations on lung cancer patients (it's a few years away from being used). Google 'AI does surgery for lung cancer' for information about how AI contributes to medical care for cancer patients.
As I say on my new website about AI - The future is here today. Sorry, but I can't post a link here as it would be seen as self-promotion and against forum rules. However, as Google gives the site more authority you'll likely stumble across it online anyway. You'll know it's me if you do😉
AI is the technology that holds the key to mankind's future (this is inevitable). That will be for both good and bad but it's here to stay and isn't going away. Embrace the good!

Are you finding a delay in getting approval to post a link? I requested to post a link 4 days ago with one moderator without a response, made the same request with a second moderator and also zero response.
Sure Rob. I asked if I could post a link on a Friday a while back and didn't recieve a reply until Monday. Then I was asked to send it to someone else. This would have meant a delay of about 5 days.
I wish HU would scrap this rule - it would make posting far more simple. I'm sure eagle-eyed posters would identify false information and either comment or report it as such. I think BobD checks all the posts anyway and would keep his eye on the ball concerning 'false news'. I put a post on about a month ago which I thought was correct information. The information I posted was from the drug manufacturers and the NHS website - I consider this to be a reputable site. However, there was another side to the coin and Jim quickly pointed this out to me (which I accept).
Personally, I think HU should allow links to be posted without prior permission.
That was my suggestion for improving NHS -g.p.s need an expert system to support them as it seems the amount of knowledge required has got too much for them and so treatments for some conditions is worse than it need be (eg thyoid and b12 problems). Depends whose knowledge it uses mind!
The AI that can do surgery was self-taught. It learnt by watching videos of surgeons doing the operation. It is mooted that it causes 33% less damage to the lungs than human hands undertaking the same operation for lung cancer. My view is that in the future all operations will be done by an AI robot - including ablation!
Pre op thyroidectomy for removal papillary cancer was done carefully by my general surgeon. He hadan hour's blue dye put through first so there was no mishaps in knowing what was what and parts ckipped out of the say.
Don't forget a computer is set up alongside where the procedure takes place.
If the robot is power operated one does not want the power to cut out.!
Technology amd power! Um!
I wouldn't go in a driverless car! I enjoy driving myself.
You have a good point, Paul. I stopped posting when I could not substantiate my findings with medical research trials. For me, waiting for permission to post peer authenticated medical journal reported trials has too much red tape.
Removing the Johnson & Johnson Mesh has been done by robot and our top Chinese lady surgeon is learning from Australia.
She arranged her assistant Dr on me but robots are indeed the future.
On arrival at my first 3 star hotel at Hemma am TOKYO Hamamatasuci sat 2 robots! It was a bit freaky. A human arrived luckily as I had cash and didn't want to lose it! So it is a robot and cash machine as combo.
So Paul you are right up there with technology.
What with dogs sniffing out cancer are you saying we have robots for detection of AF?
Yep - they are already out there. Some of the things they can do are mind-blowing. I include a section on my AI website about AI use for medical purposes. At the moment it's just for information purposes - I haven't monetised it yet. This is the best thing to do with Google so it doesn't look spammy. I'll leave it a few weeks more and then monetise the whole site. I am very pleased with it as it looks professional (even though I say so myself). I'll add 'Low Hanging Fruit' keywords so it will appear on Google's first page (I hope!).
Paul
PS. Bet you don't know what Low Hanging Fruit keywords are Joy heheh 🤣🤣🤣
Edit. I'll put a post in the blog section of my site about Afib and AI when time allows. You'll find it easy to find and the information might be helpful to you - I'll explain how AI can help Afib detection and can accurately read an ECG. I won't post a link on HU (self-promotion) but a quick Google will soon bring it up when the post is completed. Anyway, I digress from my OP 🙄
