Good morning guys and gals. Hope you're all doing ok.Well, naughty heart decided to go back into AF 3 weeks ago and so, today, I'm back in for another cardioversion.
Private hospital (on the NHS) so at least there will be a better class of sandwich afterwards.
Wish me luck. π€

Lovely chap. I'm under Dr Yusuf, in the non biblical sense π, who is fabulous and goes the extra mile. No more ablation for me as I'm still waiting for a valve repair surgery and they're supposed to be throwing in a Cox IV Maze at the same time.
Good luck Ang. I used to love having cardioversions as they never failed to return me to normal sinus rhythm. In 2019 when I had two (had received lots in previous years) and then went back into AF a few months later I was told I wouldn't be offered any more. So now I'm left in constant AF but it's settled between 60-90bpm and I can cope with that.
Thanks. I think this is number 9. All have worked so far between 4 days and 2 years. This one has only lasted 6 months so I'm hoping that it works again. I'm sure that waiting all this time for a valve repair isn't helping the heart to behave.
Sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well and enjoy the sarnies. Last time I was at our local private hospital for cataracts only biccies were free - mind you, only there for a few hours. It was almost as busy as the NHS too.
