Flutter and Heart beat

Booked in for my third Ablation for flutter, EP has put me on Sotolol 40 mg,

Heart beat is around 50 to 55, then every week to ten days i seem to get a few thuds in chest then heart shoots up to 150 beats a min, then it gradually slows down again over the next week the thing is when my heart rate is 50 ish i still feels a bit fluttery.

so can i have a normal heart rate of 55 bpm and still have a wobble in heart or flutter

Hi higgy52, when were you’re other 2 ablations? And did they work for a while?

hi Kaz,

First Ablation for Af feb 2017, only in nsr for a few days on and off, 2nd Ablation for Flutter march this year stayed in normal rhythm for 3 months then started to get flutter back, E P said some time the skin is thick so they need to do a bit more burning

Thanks, I’ve had 3 ablations - Jan and June last year for SVTs and then this year I developed Flutter and AF so had an ablation for both in September. I managed 1 day in NSR and have had daily episodes since, as well as a lot of inflammation. I’m now on more drugs than ever (320mg Sotalol & 187.5 mcg Digoxin) but it’s still out of control. Looking forward to feeling normal again one day 😄

There is plenty of time for it to calm down if you only had ablation in sept, keep us updated, good luck
