I cannot seem to sustain a healthy weight for my age & body frame so I will be requesting Zepbound from my doctor to help, as I don’t want to go the surgical route in my 70s. I’m considered **morbidly obese** & truly, there is a lot of shame in this.
Flecainide & Metoprolol control my A-Fib, & I take a prescription blood thinner too. Does anyone here have personal experience with A-Fib and Zepbound? Please, refrain if you have to make a comment about weight, diets, etc. I plan on speaking with a pharmacist or two next week, to see what they might know. My electrophysiologist says to talk with a pharmacist, as will my primary care physician say the same.
Thanks,
Doggiemomma

Although I have no experience of Zepbound I hope someone on the forum may be able to help. In the UK these drugs are , I understand , in short supply and difficult to come by.
I wish you well in your quest but please do not feel ashamed.
I have recently started Ozempic (still on a low dose) and have had few issues thus far. I take meds for high blood pressure, an anti-coagulant for PAF, a beta and also recently started a statin. My first few weeks my pulse rate was slightly elevated but that has settled down now and I suspect that brief increase (from mid 60s rhr to low 80s rhr) was due to a low grade virus I was battling. If anything my ectopics and stray palpitations are even lower now since starting ozempic than they were prior. Most literature indicate no contraindications but it remains early days for the research. I’m sure your pharmacist will be able to provide a clear indication one way or the other.
Agree discussing with the Pharmacist, as this forum can only offer antidotal experience. Interesting class of drugs Zepbound, Ozempic, Trulicity etc. We are currently caregivers for my 60 yr old sister who is developmentally delayed. After years of being unable to lose weight, especially abdominal fat, my wife (Dietitian and former Diabetes Educator) asked my sister’s Diabetes team to try her on Ozempic (and Trulicity during Ozempic shortage here in Canada). Five months in sister has lost 15 lbs, with much better blood sugar, BP and lipid profile control. More energy so able to walk every afternoon. One injection into stomach, only once a week. No noticeable side effects for her. All the best to you … will be interesting to hear what your Pharmacist advises in terms of the drug with AF.
