AV node ablation with Pasmaker

Has anyone up there is surviving and how long since your AV node ablation and PM insertion? On July 28th I had put the PM in, and my EP doctor told me that in August I would have the Ablation. But his nurse said that the Doctor forgot to tell her to put me in the list for the Ablation procedure. I'm now feeling very disappointed, since I understand I have to wait until November/December to have that done. I took this last resort because I feel very sick with the permanent AF and some of the medications I’m taken. Any comment, please, may easy my desolation/depression. I haven’t had a reasonably good sleep for years…felling I’m going mad. Many, many thanks.

Unfortunately the waiting time until middle of November makes me anxious. I should have done in August. Hope yours is done sooner than mine. I would love to know how are you keeping. All the best.

Yes I had it done and it was a very good thing. Wish I had done it sooner! Don’t worry you will feel better.

Thank you Eliza for your encouragement. I'm waiting until middle of Nov to have it done, I have the PM put int in July!!!

I had my pace and ablate procedure done last year. The pacemaker was fitted in March and the AV node ablation was carried out in May. Trust me it was worth the wait. I have never felt better since I was diagnosed with AF about ten years ago. I have more energy and really feel so much better. Try and be patient it will be worth the wait.

In the meantime take good care of yourself. By the way I am now 72 and most days don't feel it!
