Diltiazem is prescribed all the time with Flecainide. I'm on both myself. It acts as a nodal blocking agent for safety.

Hi. I was on them both too as bisoprolol caused a very unpleasant skin condition. I didn’t have any problems.

Hi Dawfor, can I ask you what sort of skin condition if you don't mind saying thank you.

Hi. I developed lichen planus. Apparently beta blockers can cause this. I immediately stopped the bisoprolol and started tropical treatment. It eventually settled down. Has left some rather unsightly marks on my skin however.

Thank you so much for your speedy reply Dawfor. I have been getting psoriasis I just wondered if that was due to being on Bisoprolol too.

I still take Diltiazem and have previously taken it with Flecainide without any problems……

flecainide is not indicated on a heart with CVD. Ask your ep to switch asap to another anti arrhythmia drugs. It is per European and US guidelines

Hi

I'm on Diltiazem 120mg AM slow release 24 hrs.

Contra are STATINS and if you take BB Beta Blocker separate them Diltiazem AM and say Bisoprolol at night.

Flecainide is a rythmn med. Also used as PIP Pill in Pocket.

cheers JOY. 74. (NZ)

I haven't seen anything about contraindications, though I am somewhat new to AF and am suffering from information overload. Maybe I saw the info but didn't understand it because it was too technical, so I would appreciate your info. Doctors are great but don't always know the finer points of the drugs they prescribe - especially for drugs they like to turn to often.

Combo 1: I take Metoprolol (PM) and Diltiazem (AM and PM). Combo 2: I take Flecanide (100mg 2X/day) and started a statin last fall (I do have small blockages in my heart). What happens if you take these combos? I have had a number of new meds added and might not be recognizing an interaction for what it is (I have a number of medical conditions).

Hi

Keep the avorastatin down to 10mg-20mg and keep away from Diltiazem! which you take twice a day.

cheers JOY
