Hello just a quick update. Had my ablation on 16th Dec, for some reason it took 6 hrs. Don’t know why so long yet as no follow up till April. Felt fine after, no groin pain or bleeding just a bad migraine which lasted 24 hrs, I do suffer from them. Stayed in hospital overnight then home. Did v little for first mth, then gradually started doing bits & bobs. Had a couple of ectopics during 2nd mth & twice went into Af which was scary but only for few mins first time & half hr 2nd time. Feel fine but occasionally get v tired. Been today to have 48 hr holter fitted. Had brilliant care from staff at Lancashire cardiac centre though food is not great. 😏 🤞🏻crossed this ablation works. X
2nd ablation, 3 mth update: Hello just... - Atrial Fibrillati...
2nd ablation, 3 mth update
Good luck I hope it holds well for you, however don’t despair if you happen to go back into AF, it is often the case that we need a 2nd ablation to tie a few loose ends so to speak. Don’t overdo anything eat well and all the best 👍
Food not brilliant 😀 I remember being offered fried gammon in a cardiac unit. I asked the orderly - do they not know about pork and cholesterol?? I ended up with a macaroni cheese. Probably just as bad for me. But I hope your healing continues well. Mine from last March seems to have lasted out and I do feel well. Takes time. Keep looking after yourself and pace yourself comfortably.
thanks for your reply. Glad to hear your ablation seems to have done its job. I’m trying to go mainly vegan with a touch of vegetarian when struggling😀 also dairy free completely, they eventually gave me a choice of ham or tuna sandwich or cauliflower pasta. Went for the pasta as I was starving by this time, bit like wallpaper paste. 😏
I am being referred for an ablation at some point, and been told the average time on table is 4 to 6 hours, so well within scope.
