I have pauses very often. They can happen any time, any place sometimes mine are linked to a particular situation and often just out of the blue.

Hi

As I understand it a pacemaker is used with low H/R.

I have not been offered oe because I have rapid and

persistent.

Oh dear.

I had 2 x 2second pauses at night with metropolol. I banned it.

Changed to Bisoprolol no 2 second pauses.

Changed up again to CCB Calcium Channel Blocker Diltiazem

twinked . CONTROLLED on

Diltiazem 120mg AM and Bisoprolol 2.5 PM.

Fatigue still oxygen starved and I wait a few seconds to move again. I

think is mine is due to left ventricle chamber enlarged. Due to being left

with rapid persistent with AF undiagnosed then stroke with AF diagnosed

and 4th day in hospital diagnosed with thyroid papillary cancer. Removed, no RAI or suppression I declined. Low risk. 3rd neck scan coming up.

I’ve had 4 covid shots and covid itself. I suffered no effects after the shots nor during the 10 days of covid.

But after I had pacemaker no 1 and long before PAF I had a series of pauses a few hours after eating a sandwich lunch. My wife who studied to be a medic at the You Tube school of medicine diagnosed gluten intolerance. Anyway the incident passed and I forgot about it until 4 years later I had a similar experience while unloading the washing machine before I had eaten. Dr. You Tube was stumped as the sheets, washing liquid and fabric conditioner are all GF.

I am used to the occasional blip now although they’re very surprising when they come they are years apart, are short lived and on PM 3 I’ve not had one of that type showing so far. I’ve stopped trying to look for a meaning for them as I’ve told by my cardiac team they are not of concern…

(On the other hand when a PAF attack occurs that really rocks the boat…as we well know …)

The grand thing about the pacemaker is that it records incidents which can be examined at the regular check or remotely with the new house based recording / reporting devices. Have you asked that pause to be checked ? ( I always note in my diary when I have notable experience to see how it’s reflected at the check or if I’ve been concerned I have it checked remotely but immediately)

Hi

My pauses on Metroprolol came at night when asleep.

But throughout meds and changing them to get control my'H/R goes from high uncontrolled but now controlled to 47 at night.

I've always had cold shoulders at night and wake up to cover them usually with 1/2 dressing gown.
