Jaws the sequel - Lost and found

OK this is not afib related but gave me a laugh (and the receptionist). I have had a misaligned jaw for about 5 day's. Mobile reception in the village I live in can be hit and miss and you can't always hear fully what the other person is saying.

So I called the surgery today and spoke to the receptionist to book an appointment. She asked what the problem was. I replied I have a misaligned jaw but due to the bad reception she thought I said that I have a missing jaw.

Receptionist - what do you mean you have a missing jaw.

Me - no a misaligned jaw.

Receptionist - I'm sorry I don't understand. Are you trying to say you've lost your jaw and it's missing.

Me - no a MISALIGNED jaw.

Receptionist - Have you got a jaw ?

Me - Yes and I think it's misaligned.

Receptionist - Do you mean a misaligned jaw.

Me - YES

Then she clocked what I was saying and started laughing - as did I 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Paul

PS - All's well that ends well - saw doc and it should return to normal in 3 to 6 weeks on it's own.

That is absolutely AF related - a laugh a day keeps the AF away…..😂😂

My best encounter with GP receptionist (after private appointment) was when I was asked to come into the surgery to discuss the invoice. In the gold old days when you paid by cheque. I got on my high horse immediately and what was wrong with payment of the invoice, did they not want me to pay?

“Nothing is wrong with this invoice or cheque she calmly responded - other than it is the invoice and cheque to pay for your plumber. We would be glad if you could contact you plumber as they obviously have our invoice and cheque for your consultation for your bowel complaint”

EEK. Hope it's not painful. Sometimes massage therapists can help? Depends if you want to go there. Thanks for the laugh!

I guess singing will be out.

I've just gaining normality after 1 hour of jaw moving to get 2 teeth filled together with 1 very inflamed, holey tooth.

In and out of pain it's a week so Dr gave me antibiotics which are working.

Poor you on the prognosis. A long time. Keep dreaming of the finishline.

Well, they told me 2 years of 5 wakeup nights at night I would need to put up with. Couldn't have a cortisone injection - because of thyroxin and I know the antis of them I relied on acupuncture.

Saw another 3rd Orthopaedic Surgeon. He says the MRI April 2021 after 27/9/20 accident shows a full thickness tear and not a partial tear.

Honestly this one will op swiftly after yet another MRI done to update injury as I had a fall 08/21. Thank goodness.

We have a man who manipulates spines, necks etc in 3-4 secs for $40. Even when an Orthopaedic Surgeon said he would not touch a shoulder blade pinch.

cheers JOY

Hi Joy.

I'm sorry to hear about your health problems. I hope these are sorted out for you and everything goes well. 'Jawing dropping' is the not the name used for the diagnosis. In the UK it means amazing - for example if you see a wonderful sunset you might say 'wow that's jaw dropping'.

Have a lovely day.
