The information I have read and trust doesn't favour taking that drug.

its just another experimental drug for which there is no long term safety data.

It would have been nice if CNN had told us what the actual drugs are that are reported to have interactions with Paxlovid!! "Certain" heart drugs and "some" statins really doesn't tell the cardiac patient much that is useful. And, they could have provided a reference to the specific journal article cited, but they didn't. Poor job, CNN.

Good point. We always need to check the sources rather than rely on what news outlets put out. Journalists aren’t the most reliable source of health information and articles are written to grab attention rather than present factual information. Scientific papers aren’t always the easiest to understand especially for lay people and many people don’t grasp the nuances of medical information at the best of times. There are no specifics here, as you point out.

Thanks for adding that.

Friends of ours have suffered greatly after taking Paxlovid. I'm thankful I never took it. Myocarditis was enough after taking two Pfizers. Media reporting over the past two years, the problems with pharma, and politicized medicine have left me with deeply shaken trust.
