All went well yesterday, apart from feeling uncomfortable at times during the procedure. Groin a bit sore this morning, but heart very much behaving. Rest and more rest now.
Thank you all for your good wishes.

Well done Jo ! Hope all goes well now. Did you stay in overnight ?
Sandra
Thanks Sandra. I had it done around 2.30pm and was home at 8.30, so had a good sleep in my own bed.

Gosh that's amazing. When i had my flutter ablation I must have had something else as well as I had a stitch in each groin, GA and felt pretty awful after wards...left hospital the following afternoon. ( no bruising or any pain in groin that time unlike previous 2 ablations!)
Think my groin is sore due to the fact they had to use a vein there for sedation as they couldn’t get a canula in anywhere else. I have small veins due to many blood tests etc before, during and after open heart surgery in 2012.

Good to hear it all went well Jo. Wishing you a speedy recovery, but don't forget to take it easy for a few weeks.

Really pleased all went well, onwards and upwards now.
Who was the EP doing it ?
Goodness me home the same day - your own bed the best medicine after a procedure for sure. Hope your recovery continues smoothly.
Hi jobristol! Oh good you had your ablation ok. Don’t overdo things and I’m sure you’ll feel a lot better soon. Discomfort is the exact word for ablations. No pain but you can feel it all happening. An interesting experience. Take care. Sportfix(Jane)
Thank you Jane, groin feeling slightly better today and bruising in groin a nice colour! Taking it very easy, and will do so for a while yet. Am used to being very active so the next couple of months are going to be hard! It definitely is an interesting experience. Hope you are well, Jo
I'm glad you're feeling a bit better Jo. I overdid it after my 1st ablation & had a very swollen & purple leg which moved further and further down towards my foot. Was in a lot of pain & had to go to local hospital as an emergency. Eventually they scanned me & was just bruising but not pleasant. Not looking forward to Tuesday but hey-ho....hopefully the 3d mapping will work. Hope your recovery is uneventful. Jane
