I am day 3 post positive Covid test, had hot cold phases, sweats this morning they seem to have passed but so breathless I need to stay propped up I feel like a fish out of water 😢 and had a couple of episodes of I’m not sure if they have been ectopic or AF but uncomfortable whatever they are, fortunately didn’t last long. Has anyone else experienced this. Other than that hope you are staying healthy and Covid free.

The last time I had flu ( 1999) my asthma got a lot worse and I got bronchitis afterwards. The only way I could breathe comfortably was lying on my front and I spent over a week like that. It also helped the disc I had put out coughing! Did they say why you should not lie on your front?
Sorry to hear that - yes I had COVID in Oct - different symptoms. If it’s affecting your breathing the worst thing is to stay in bed. Sit up and move around as much as you can. I got pneumonia with COVID and had x-ray which showed opaque patches. Are you monitoring your O2 sats? If not get an oximeter & keep monitoring 3 times daily. If your numbers stay at less than 92% then ring for medical guidance, don’t delay.
Good news - I fully recovered & follow up x-ray showed all clear so no scarring. Heart took a few weeks to settle & I was as weak as a newborn kitten for 3 weeks so don’t rush your recovery and stay very well hydrated.
Haven't had but know lots who have. As CDreamer says, monitor the breathlessness and don't allow being in low oxygen levels for any length of time. That said, almost everyone I know who's had it complains about getting breathless with activity e.g. climbing stairs even when they're otherwise feeling much better. So, hopefully it's part of the process
My brothers family had this at Christmas but mainly with cold or flu like symptoms. We guessed it was the omicron variant as they had no breathlessness, which is more a feature of the previous, "delta" variant, now less than 1% of cases in the UK, I gather.
If you are breathless, I would get in touch with your GP or 111 to discuss this. Do you have an oximeter to check on oxygen levels? With the delta variant, these can quickly dip lower than normal, so do take care. not to allow yourself to become too ill before contacting a health expert.
I got Covid, had the sweats for the first few days. Wore off but other symptoms, breathless, lightheaded, persisted for two weeks. It might feel like it’s getting better then it gets worse. In the second week I was starting to panic a bit as I felt crap ,called doctor but once she heard that my blood oxygen levels had returned to high 90s from lowish 90s she reassured me and my panic levels receded dramatically. So pleased I had an oximeter. The advice to get one given by others on here is spot on. However this was all in October and pre Omicron I guess.
I had covid 1 month ago. I had a fever for 1 1/2 days with high heart rate over 100. That is normal, from what I read, during a fever. After that my heart settled back down. Now a month out, I do get bouts of breathlessness when going up stairs and when wearing a mask for very long. My heart has been jumping a little and I’m thinking about calling cardiologist just to check it out. I did not have any breathing trouble during covid. Are you coughing much? You may try to force some deep coughs to loosen the phlegm. I did breathing exercises daily before covid so that when I got it, my lungs would be strong. Maybe it helped.
Unfortunately, yes -- I experienced two a-fib episodes during my first week of having Covid in December 2020. Stay rested, don't panic (I know, it's hard!) and drink lots of fluids. I used a prop-pillow to keep my upper torso elevated at night which considerably helped my breathing.
