If you can find a private dr A/F can you see him and talk to him or is it still on phone and do they tell you what you actually have I’m hoping someone on this good site knows of one in Cornwall as A/F makes you so ill thanks for listening

The Duchy Hospital have a longish list of Cardiologists, I would call one of the secretaries and ask which consultant is most appropriate for your issues. I've done this at other hospitals and the secretaries have always been very helpful.

Yes I rang Duchy before but COVID was going on and could only talk on the phone which I find difficult I’ve had a cardiologist through nhs and on the phone then a letter which is hard to follow so I’m hoping I can find one you can talk to as the last time private dr only on phone thanks for replying

Try them again as there's no reason why you can't have a face to face appt now. Many places are just using covid as an excuse and it's not really valid now !

Sry, can't help with local referral, but DCCV is DC Cardioversion, to hopefully change your rhythm back to Normal Sinus Rhythm. A dialated left atrium is an enlarged left atrium, possibly caused by the afib itself, or a valvular anomaly. Good luck in finding a local specialist.

Thank you yes I know about Guy Haywood and I’d been told he’s really good but we’re in Falmouth and not well enough to get there so I’m trying to find one in Truro but I doubt knows of one there on this site as Cornwall is quite small I’ll keep trying !!!!!!!! Thanks very much for replying

I'm afraid Guy Haywood is your nearest EP, otherwise the only other one is in Exeter, but I'm not sure he's still there. There used to be another EP at Derriford but I can't remember his name. I had Guy Haywood and I live in Torbay, so it was quite a way for me to travel too.
