Abbreviations!

Fairly recently joined this group for sharing symptoms, remedies, thoughts and emotions etc........read some almost every day , but I struggle with so many technical terms and abbreviations people use !

Life with AF is complicated enough without finding one of the best sources of information and empathy becomes a challenge in itself and constant searching online what some of these abbreviations actually stand for .

Please can folks use down to earth terminology or at least put the full words down to help make sense out of it !

You’ll find various pinned posts for abbreviations. If you’re not sure - just ask - you will probably be asking for many others.

I know it’s a pain when you don’t know but it does make replying much quicker so sorry but I will still be using common abbreviations - unless I can see it’s a first post.

If you look at pinned posts top right you will find a glossary.(List of abbreviations)

I do ask people to do as I do and always define any abb (abbreviation) such as QOL (quality of life) the first time used in a post.

Keibval - we probably all have had the same challenge. When I first started here I used my PC with two windows open - one for the forum and one with Google open. Most of them were easy to find. As CDreamer says, there is a list of the most common ones on the site and not using them would make replies lengthy and unwieldy.

It really is worth getting familiar with the 20 or so that are commonly used.
