Hi! I started taking propafenone 150 at the doctor's recommendation every 1 to 8 hours, for ventricular ectopics (extrasystoles) The problem is that my pulse drops a lot to 42-52 even though I have a pacemaker set to 65 beats! Could I take 1/2 of the tablet or 3/4? has anyone tried.? thanks!

Propafanone is a rhythm control drug primarily but it does have some beta blocking effect. I think rather than mess with dose you need to speak to your PM clinic about why is it not dealing with the low rate. In the mean time also speak to your cardiologist and explain what is happening.
