I have been taking Warfarin for almost 5 months and my INR has been up and down so the two cardioversions that were booked in August and September had to be cancelled. I am booked in at St Thomas' hospital for a cardioversion this Monday and fingers crossed it will finally take place!

Obviously hope all goes to plan. Whatever you do, try and keep your INR stable so no changes to normal diet over the weekend. You will soon be sitting up with a cuppa and a biscuit but also remember to take it easy for as long as possible, all the best...
If you want to stay on warfarin, can I suggest you get a Coaguchek monitor? If you do that and take Vit K2 then you can get a very steady INR. If you can't stabilise your INR then one of the DOACs may be a better option. Best wishes
I feel fine but I was asymptomatic anyway so not a lot changed. They got me back into NSR after one shock but, sadly, I went back into afib four days later. There are some really inspiring stories on here of folk staying in sinus rhythm for a long time after cardioversion so please don’t worry that you might only get a few days like I did.
I'm asymptomatic too! What a shame you didn't stay in sinus, did they say what is the next step for you? Yes, the stories on here are very informative and inspiring.
I’m hoping to hear from them next week but I don’t know what they will suggest. I’d like to try cardioversion again because ablation scares me though they have said I’m an ideal candidate for that due to my age. Hopefully you won’t need to know what the second step is for a long time yet.
