That was certainly a very wee rant 😀 Give yourself a few days for things to settle down, it’s natural to feel ‘What have I done?’ after a big step and your heart is probably asking the same of you 💓 I hope you feel better soon 🦋

Rant away we are usd to it. Give yourself time.
It does get better.
I'm 4 weeks on now and waiting for an AV node ablation.
I really want to get off the meds as I cannot get above a slow shuffle without just feeling wiped out.
I found the hardest thing was to keep from shooting my left arm up.
Good luck!
You said meds slowed you down, "can't get past a slow shuffle." I have been on heart meds for more than ten years. I think beta blockers are particularly bad for this. It took me years to understand that it is possible to get past this. If I compare my body to a car. I can no longer get up to 100 mph but I can get up to 85 or 90. My acceleration is really lousy. Nought to sixty in 6.2 seconds is out of the question. Probably more like 12 or 13 seconds. However if I'm patient and accept the slow start I can get up to 85 and on a good day 90 mph. No good for running after a bus but helpful for exercise. I am convinced that exercise is the key to good health and feeling well.
If you can get past the slow start it will help you feel much better. It takes a lot of determination and guts. Probably a good start would be the cardio rehab fitness classes run by the NHS and BHF. You are supervised by nurses and physios to make sure you don't over do it.
Just before my trip to hospital and the PM I was using my Concept 2 on a daily basis and had worked up to 6km in just over 30 mins - the cardio team were well impressed. I'm using an exercise bike at the moment and just working through it, though trying not to be silly. On a bad day I get a twinge if I try too hard (4 weeks post PM now).
Daft thing is - I've lost weight over the last year and yesterday was going through my wardrobe and chucking and trying things on. Could only do part of it as my collar bone complained. That'll learn me!
That all sounds very familiar - I expected those reactions because I had previous ablations so know that if you stick wires into the heart - it reacts.
It will take time for you to recover and especially if you had sedation as it takes a long time to clear your system, not as long as a GA but still days.
Again, hardest thing is to keep your arm below elbow height! Take care and hope you feel better soon.
