Hi all, I had a cardioversion in September 2019 and an ablation in January this year. My motorhome insurance is up for renewal and I'm wondering if I need to tell the insurance company about these health issues. Any advice, thanks?

I think it important to tell your insurance company about any health issues knowing how quick they are to back out of cover if you are found to have a condition after an accident. That said if your ablation has been successful and your AF is well controlled there should be no problem. You must tell DVLA and insurance if your doctor has ever told you not to drive but not just for the 48 hours or week suspended following your treatments. It is not so much the treatments you should advise but the condition (AF).
Hi Ecki, there are at least a couple of “travellers” on the forum of which I am one and I second Bob’s advice. When I was diagnosed in 2014 there was a lot of mixed messages about informing the DVLA and vehicle insurance companies. To be on the safe side, after ringing the insurance companies (all of which said there was no problem) I sent them a letter confirming the phone conversation and enclosed the letter from the DVLA that I was OK to drive.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could take off into the wide blue yonder!!😢😩
