If you don't have AFanymore there should be no problem for you surely. Here in UK the only block on travel insurance is if you are awaiting tests or procedures

I am from Canada, also, close to Vancouver, B.C. I haven't researched recently, but in the past, I did not find a resonable insurance company compared to the UK. Good luck in finding one; I'd like to know.

I have been in permanent AF for about seven years. I went to France, from the UK, six years ago and found no problem getting insurance at a reasonable rate. Also I was then, and still am, asthmatic.

It seems quite easy for us to get a fairly reasonable travel insurance for Europe but when you say you are going to US or South Africa where my son and brother live the price rockets. I am in permanent Afib and am over 80 and am hoping to visit both at the end of this year so will be researching insurance soon.

Hopefully you don't have problems finding reasonable insurance. Thanks

You can get easily get travel insurance in the UK for AF, for a small additional premium.

Policies purchased in the UK are for trips that start in the UK, so unlikely you could get cover living in Canada, unless you could find a specialist company for trips starting outside of the UK, which of course would come at an additional cost.

From an insurance perspective, I think it is whether your AF causes effects such as feeling faint - anything that can affect driving or might require treatment.

I don't know about the insurance but your staying in NSR for four years is encouraging.

Yes ,hopefully many more years in NSR . I had 2 ablations, the surgeon said afib would probably come back in 6 or more years. Fingers crossed 🤞

Are you still able to golf?

I am not golfing right now due to rain, glut pain, and my shortness of breath. Soon as these things straighten up I plan to golf.
