You should go to emergency if you are worried. Yes maybe the clot in your lungs has disolved but your leg needs investigating. We are not medically trained here so we cannot advise otherwise.

As Bob says go to A & E straightaway. I had a clot in my leg 20 years ago after a long car drive, got the same pains and my GP dismissed it twice & went on holiday. I paid privately for a specialist who diagnosed it straight away with a little hand held machine. A delay will damage the return valves in the leg quite apart from the danger of the clot breaking off & travelling elsewhere in the body. Part of the treatment was to test for Factor V Leiden, I presume you have had that done already.

Good ending to this story: Despite being warned because of the delay in diagnosis that I may well develop ulcers around the ankle, I have done daily walks & raised the leg whenever sitting down to relax and without medication it has been fine. Amazing how the body can heal itself given chance!

That’s very good news but I don’t know what A&E straightaway is

Hi Tabathamore

You may not live in Britain therefore A&E is our shorthand version for Accident and Emergency Department. The other responders feel that you should seek medical advice without delay. I am sorry that when you previously went to the hospital they were not very understanding until the 4th time. I think that if you went this time, because you have a definite history of previous blood clots , they would listen to you more carefully and react more quickly. All the best.
