Sorry to post twice in a row but I'd like other peoples input.
I get these slow rate svt episodes. I'm 4.5 weeks post ablation. It will start as a palpitation then the bounding (hard) pulse starts just like regular svt only my heart rate will only go to about 85 to 95 bpm instead of 180+bpm. Sometimes itll last about 30 minutes or hours. This happens daily. My heartbeat feels like its beating correctly in rhythm just faster at the wrong time.
My ep doesn't seem very concerned and I dont think he believes what I'm saying so hes just passing it off as nothing.
Has anyone else experienced this post ablation? If so, did it go away or at least slow down?
Edit: I'd also like to add that when in this slow episode and getting up from my seat to just stand my heart rate rises even more (110+) and beats even harder like I just ran up and down the stairs a few times. I also always feel a slight shortness of breath. I can still take deep breaths no problem but breathing through my nose is bothersome.

Hi Amanda3690, i'm 6 months post ablation, and i get constant ectopics, i also had 2 bad runs of fast but regular tachycardia, that lasted around 7-8 hrs, most people here will say its part of the recovery process, and as you are only less than 5 weeks post ablation it is still very early days for you
That does make me feel a little better. Although I had felt great at about 3 weeks post op and it was only 7 days ago that this started again. It's similar to my symptoms pre op. Half the time heartburn and nausea accompany the episodes as well.
Can I direct you to Bobs comments, I was like you after my ablation, I read Bobs comments then in response to my post (similar to yours), it provided some comfort but I thought I was different, what I was experiencing was not exactly like anyone else (so I thought). Turned out I should have listened to Bob. In fact right now no-one will know if your ablation is successful (not even your EP) so don't think about it, just remember if your EP said it was successful then it almost certainly is successful - just don't listen to the EPs that say you will be back to normal in 7 days. I am 12 months post ablation and I believe I am still improving and this after having an unexpectedly difficult time recovering (for months not weeks).
